Triskel is a new hop breed with an aroma similar to Strisselspalt, from which Triskel inherited the floral, but slightly fruitier, notes. A high oil content makes Triskel very suitable for late and dry hopping. The name was inspired by triskelion, the symbol of the Gauls, who are the ancestors of the modern French people. The symbol represents the three elements: earth, air and water. Its flavour profile can include artichoke, pepper, tobacco, honeydew melon and nettle.
